Rhodeum Beacon Pre-sale & Network Rollout Guide
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about purchasing, deploying, and validating Rhodeum Beacons.
Rhodeum Beacon is an institutional-grade network appliance and miner node designed to plug directly into your home router. It validation-mines block transactions and contributes decentralized resources with zero technical setup required.
Rhodeum Beacon is designed to operate with minimal bandwidth requirements. Monero mining uses very small data exchanges between the Beacon and mining pools, so high-speed internet is not required.
A stable internet connection is more important than raw speed.
Typical mining operations use low upload and low download bandwidth, making Beacon suitable for most home internet connections.

Yes. Each Rhodeum Beacon operates independently, so every additional unit contributes additional mining power.
For example, owning 4 Beacons generally means about 4x the expected mining contribution compared to owning 1 Beacon.
Your rewards are directly tied to your Beacon’s contribution and overall network conditions.
As the Rhodeum ecosystem expands, additional OTA-powered features may introduce new earning opportunities beyond mining.

We target a lifespan similar to a quality Wi-Fi router or mini PC, which is approximately 7 to 10 years under normal operating conditions.
The Beacon is designed for 24/7 continuous operation using energy-efficient, solid-state hardware, and its features and performance will be continuously improved over time via over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
Please note that the actual lifespan will depend on environmental factors such as operating temperature, proper ventilation, and power quality.

Rhodeum is designed as a decentralized, distributed network with no single point of failure.
Think of it like the internet: if one computer disconnects, the internet doesn't stop working. Similarly, each Rhodeum Beacon and node operates independently. If one device goes offline, it only affects that individual unit—the rest of the network continues to operate normally.
While each component (including the Beacon hardware, the Diamynd Wallet, validation services, and future miner deployments) has its own specific role, they build upon one another to create a stronger, more resilient ecosystem. As more devices join, the network becomes more decentralized, secure, and scalable. Growth doesn't increase risk; it improves redundancy and collective network strength, ensuring the ecosystem's long-term success is driven by the shared contributions of thousands of independent participants.

You can reserve your node allocation from the Dashboard. A refundable 50% down-payment is required via credit card/PayPal or cryptocurrency. Once received, administrators will confirm the allocation and assign a serial number to your account.
You only need one Ethernet connection back to the router/network for up to 4 Beacons; we configured our Beacons for Ethernet daisy-chaining.
For example:
Router → Beacon 1 → Beacon 2 → Beacon 3 → Beacon 4
Beacon 1 would use one Ethernet port for the connection to the router and the second Ethernet port to connect directly to Beacon 2.
Beacon 2 would use its second port to connect to Beacon 3, and so on.

Yes, you can purchase a Rhodeum Beacon as a gift. To do so, please place the gift orders separately from your own, and ensure you specify the recipient's shipping address.
Each physical Beacon is built with a unique Serial Number on the bottom of the device and includes a QR code for Diamynd Wallet setup. When the recipient receives the physical Beacon, they can log into or create their own Rhodeum account, input the Serial Number (or scan the QR code) on the activation page, and link the node to their own account and wallet independently.

You can select your preferred payout strategy directly under the Referral Program section on your user dashboard (which allows you to invite others to join the Rhodeum Network and earn rewards when they deploy infrastructure). The three supported strategies are: 100% USD, 50% USD / 50% USDT, and 100% USDT.
The Beacon was primarily designed to run on Ethernet. When connected via Ethernet cable with WiFi turned off, radio-frequency EMF becomes very minimal.
If you prefer the lowest possible EMF, we recommend setting up the device with Ethernet only.
Yes, the Beacon produces some electromagnetic fields (EMF), primarily when WiFi is enabled. In that case, the levels are generally lower than a typical WiFi router because the device acts only as a client (it connects to your network) rather than broadcasting a full network.

After receiving your physical node, navigate to the 'Activate Node' page, input your unique Serial Number, and link the node to your registered account to start streaming telemetry and earning rewards.
Rhodeum is not designed to depend on any single exchange, jurisdiction, or XMR-to-USD pathway.
XMR is one component of our network and reward infrastructure. As regulations and exchange policies evolve, users may have different options depending on their jurisdiction, including supported exchanges, P2P markets, or converting XMR to another liquid digital asset before using a regulated fiat off-ramp where permitted.
Depending on local regulations, users may use supported exchanges, P2P markets, or convert XMR to another liquid digital asset before using a regulated fiat off-ramp.
Our goal is to maintain multiple compliant liquidity and off-ramp options so that a change by any single exchange does not become a single point of failure for the Rhodeum ecosystem.
We recognize privacy-asset regulation as a real risk and are designing Rhodeum with flexibility and jurisdictional resilience from the beginning.
